Proof of current vaccination information with dates of administration is required at your first visit and may be required upon each subsequent visit depending on how much time has lapsed.  Please have your veterinarian fax over Vaccination Proof to 602-265-8246 if requested when making your reservation.

What types of pets are welcome?
We welcome almost all canine and feline pet guests.  We reserve the right to exclude a particular pet guest if it poses a danger to other pet guests or staff as determined by the temperament test or if an issue arises during a visit.

We prefer our pet guests to be at least six months of age.  They also must be in good health and not possess any communicable ailment that could harm the other pet guests.  Geriatric pet guests are welcome if they are in good health.

We prefer pet guests to be spayed or neutered.  We reserve the right to accept or decline non-spayed or non-neutered pets though they will not participate in Integrated Play activities.

What time can pets check-in and check-out?

We have staggered departure times so we can ensure your Pet is ready when you arrive (9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm or 1:00pm).  If the quota for any time slot is reached; you will be placed in the next time slot or another you prefer.

Are cats and dogs in contact with each other?
Our canine guest quarters consist of three separate buildings.  There are two large buildings that consist of 4 x 6 Standard Rooms and 8 x 6 Grand Rooms for larger breeds or multi-pet families.  There is a small building consisting of 2 x 4 Petite Rooms for the smaller pet guests.

Our feline guest quarters are located in the main building to reduce the stress often experienced when sharing quarters with their more vocal canine friends.

How often are rooms cleaned?
We don’t believe our pet guests can have a safe and comfortable stay in a dirty room.  All rooms are inspected throughout the day and cleaned whenever they are soiled.  Between each pet guest transition, rooms receive a thorough cleansing with a non-toxic anti-bacterial cleansing detergent.

How secure are the pets?
The safety and security of your Pet is one of our main priorities.  We’ve installed multiple security cameras that are monitored to ensure the safety of our pet guests.  Our staff makes frequent personal visits to each room ensuring each pet guest is healthy and happy.  Security gates and seven-foot reverse rod-iron fences also provide extra security for the well-being of your Pet during their stay.

Do all pets share playtime together?
Tailwinds Pet Resort will require you to fill out a Pet Profile for each pet guest so we can get to know your Pet from your perspective.

Your Pet will also participate in a temperament test that will ensure the safety of your Pet, our other pet guests and our staff.  If your Pet is disqualified, don’t fret, your Pet will receive just as much activity in Individual Play.  Of course, if you prefer, your Pet does not have to participate in the Integrated Play regardless of the temperament test outcome.

Your Pet will play with other pet guests of like sizes, ages and energy levels and have to be approved to participate in Integrated Play.  They’ll enjoy plenty of outdoor play depending on the weather under the watchful eyes of our staff.
